Crugkern Barn - Cot Valley

Booking Conditions

Paying for your holiday

  1. We ask for a deposit payment of  around 25% at the point of booking.
  2. Deposits are non-refundable, and non-transferable.  The payment balance is due one month prior to arrival, and please make a diary note for this. Reminders are not issued.  Should you cancel then a refund will only normally be given if we are able to re let Crugkern Barn for the dates you booked.
  3. Once the balance is paid we will send you full, illustrated details of how best to get here as SatNav tends to take you to the middle of a neighbouring farmer’s field!

On arrival

  1. Arrival time is after 3.00 pm to allow for cleaning and setting-up, and departure is by 10.00 am on leaving day.  This ensures that we  have time to get the Barn spick and span for the next guests.  If you intend to arrive earlier than 3.00 pm or anticipate a late arrival please let s know so we can organise things accordingly.
  2. Please park at the top of the drive.  There is a large parking area for both our and your cars.  We will show you the best parking strategy when you arrive so that you can come and go with ease.
  3. Chris and I will be around to see you in and induct you into the mysteries of the Barn.  We’ve had to be a bit ‘imaginative’ with the layout and we’ve found it easier to show you where things are rather than you fumble around to find them!
  4. Make yourselves at home, read the arrival info, explore the paths or make a cuppa!  There will be homemade bread, Cornish Yarg cheese, Cornish butter and milk waiting for you in case you are peckish.
  5. You are more than welcome to store suitcases/bags in the adjacent studio so that they are not using up valuable space in the Barn or your car.
  6. Chris or I are usually around if you need anything. If you can’t find us, please feel free to knock the door and we will be more than happy to answer any questions and help with anything which you can’t find, doesn’t do what you expect it to, or you’ve forgotten etc.

Take care during your stay

  1. Every effort has been made to ensure guests safety but we cannot accept responsibility for any accidental injuries.
  2. We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal possessions or vehicles.

Mobile and WiFi

  1. There are ample plug sockets in the barn for charging mobile phones, laptops, tablets etc.
  2. There is a mobile signal although it can be a little “Cornish” (i.e. variable) depending on which provider you are with.  The thick granite walls of the barn mean that sometimes you may need to step outside to get a decent signal, or even wander up “the wilderness” if things are bad.
  3. There is good WiFi in the barn.  It runs as an extension to our house system via ‘extender’ plugs which work through the electricity wires.  It is usually reliable and fairly fast.

Final reminder

Crugkern Barn is strictly non-smoking and no pets are allowed.

We really hope you have a very lovely stay and will do all we can to accommodate you.  If you have any questions in advance of your stay please call us on 01736 786704 or email info@crugkernbarn.com

Thanks, Rick and Chris
